Complete KU Game NotesÂ
SERIES HISTORY: Saturday marks the 69th meeting between Kutztown and Bloomsburg, tied for the second-longest rivalry in school history. Bloomsburg has won the last three matchups, as Kutztown's last win in the series came in 2011, a 52-14 win at University Field that earned KU the Eastern Division title. The win over Bloomsburg was Kutztown's first since 1992.
Â
BLOCKED PUNTS: Kutztown has blocked a punt in back-to-back games for the first time in the last 10 years.
Sherief Sutton (York, Pa./Central York) blocked a punt two weeks ago vs. Millersville, and
Ryan Hubley (Oxford, Pa./Oxford Area) blocked one last week at West Chester. Prior to this season, KU hadn't blocked a punt since 2009.
Â
BLOCKED PUNT FOR TD: Ryan Hubley (Oxford, Pa./Oxford Area) blocked a punt last week at West Chester, which was recovered and returned 20 yards by
Tyler Pratt (Northumberland, Pa./Shikellamy) for a touchdown. It was the first punt block for a touchdown for KU since 2004.
Â
TOP DUO: Kutztown and East Stroudsburg are the only teams in Division II with two receivers with 500+ receiving yards.
Kellen Williams (Chambersburg, Pa./Chambersburg) leads the team with 566, followed by
Kodi Reed (Hanover, Pa./Delone Catholic) with 556.
Â
ANOTHER GAME, ANOTHER CATCH: Kodi Reed (Hanover, Pa./Delone Catholic) has caught a pass in all 39 of his career games. It is the longest active streak in the PSAC for consecutive games with a catch and the second-longest in school history. If Reed caught a pass in every game this season, he would break Colby Tuell's school-record of 40 games with a career-closing streak of 44 games, the third-longest in PSAC history.
Â
SENIOR SEASON SWAN SONG: Redshirt senior
Kodi Reed (Hanover, Pa./Delone Catholic) is on pace to set career-highs in all categories this year. He is averaging 92.7 receiving yards per game, seventh in the PSAC. His previous career-best was 72.5 from 2013. He is averaging a career-best 5.8 receptions per game, sixth in the PSAC.
