Video Replay KUTZTOWN, Pa. – The first 15 minutes did not go according to plan for the Kutztown University women's basketball team. However, it completely flipped the script in the final minutes of the first half and for the entirety of the second half and outscored Chestnut Hill College by 23 points in the second half in a 78-53 victory on Monday night in non-conference action at Keystone Arena.
The Golden Bears (2-1) suffered from some shooting woes and turnovers in the first half and trailed by nine points with less than four minutes to go in the half. KU then scored the final 11 points of the half and held a 33-31 lead at halftime against the Griffins (1-4). Despite the lead, Kutztown found it extremely difficult to build any rhythm in the first 20 minutes and shot 1-for-10 from the three-point line.
The second half, however, resembled an entirely new Golden Bear team with prolific shooting and smothering defense.
After a pair of buckets gave Chestnut Hill a 35-33 lead in the first minute of the second half, Kutztown embarked on a momentum-changing 21-5 run. KU shot 8-for-10 from the field with four three-pointers, including three from sophomore guard
Jess Harvey (Barnegat, N.J./Rumson Fair-Haven Regional). The KU defense held Chestnut Hill to 2-for-13 during the stint.

Including the final 11 points of the first half, Kutztown's lengthy run over 21:18 was capped at 54-18.
