KUTZTOWN, Pa. – All ten of the participating Golden Bears appeared in the scoring column and Advia Campbell (Mount Laurel, N.J./Lenape) recorded her third double-double on the season as the Kutztown University women's basketball team handled Cheyney University Saturday afternoon at Keystone Arena in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division game, 67-52.
 
Kutztown (6-8, 3-1 PSAC East) ends a five-game losing skid with its largest-margin victory this season (15 points), while Cheyney (1-13, 1-4) extends its streak to seven games in the defeat.
 
All 10 of the girls dressed in uniform saw court action on Saturday, with each contributing to the final score, while three Golden Bears reached double-digits.
 
Campbell secured the double-double with 10 points, 11 rebounds, and four steals. Natalya Lee (Feasterville, Pa./Rancocas Valley Regional) finished as the leading scorer with 12 points, while adding six boards and a team-leading five assists. Freshman Kelsey Watson (Collegeville, Pa./Methacton) rounded out the double-digit scorers with 10 points and four rebounds.
 
Alyssa Bonenberger (Walnutport, PA/Northampton Area) struggled to hit from the floor for four points, but did manage to bring down 10 rebounds. Guards Jess Harvey (Barnegat, N.J./Rumson Fair-Haven Regional) and Jenna Altomare (Pennsylvania Furnace, Pa./State College Area) each added eight points apiece and Kara Funk (Dover, Pa./Dover) knocked down two three-pointers. Freshman Caitlin McLister (Middletown, MD/Middletown) made the most of her eight minutes, shooting 2-for-3 for six points, a career-high.
 
The Golden Bears started off hot with a flawless 7-0 run, only to have the Wolves respond with seven points of their own. Funk nailed two three pointers as part of a 17-7 run to open up a 10-point lead (24-14) with 5:52 left to play. The two teams traded buckets for the remainder of the half; with KU taking the 36-24 lead into the locker room.
 
KU held the led the entire first half and outmatched its opponent 8-0 in fast break points. Kutztown won the battle of the boards, 25-15 and created eight steals to Cheyney's one.
 
With 10:50 left to play in the second half, KU opened up a 16-0 run to gain the largest lead of the game (59-40). Tough defense in the final six minutes gave Kutztown the 67-52 triumph.
 
Kutztown controlled the lead throughout the entire 40 minutes and out-rebounded its opponents 47-33. KU also showed nice burst in transition, recording 16 fast-break points compared to Cheyney's two.
 
Kia Whitley-Duncan led the way for the Wolves with 13 points and six helpers, while Kyra Hines-Allen managed 10 points despite being in foul trouble.
 
The Maroon and Gold will next commence a three-game road trip this Wednesday, Jan. 15, traveling to Millersville University for a 6 p.m. tipoff.
