KUTZTOWN, Pa. – The Kutztown University women's basketball team hosts the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference First Round game against West Chester this Saturday in Keystone Arena, beginning at 1 p.m.

After winning 13 PSAC East contests, KU plans to build off their previous wins against WCU (11-10 PSAC) and continue with a repeat performance.
Kutztown defeated the Golden Rams on Feb. 13 when a quick start sparked the team into their second win against the Golden Rams. Working together as unit, with assists on 17-of-26 made field goals.
Ashley Wood (Limerick, PA/Spring-Ford) averaged 21.5 points per game in the two wins over WCU this season.
Advia Campbell (Mount Laurel, N.J./Lenape) had a career-high 15 rebounds during the home game against the Golden Rams.
The Golden Bears are coming off a 76-56 PSAC win against Mansfield University. Wood led KU with a game-high 21 points alongside
Alyssa Bonenberger (Walnutport, PA/Northampton Area) who went 8-of-11 from the floor with 20 points and 10 total rebounds. Kutztown maintained their double-digit lead throughout the game with help from Campbell, who had a game-high 13 rebounds and five steals.
Wood currently leads the Golden Bears in scoring (14.2 ppg), points (369), field goals (134), and three-point field goals (25). After their win against Mansfield, Wood moved into sixth place all-time with 1,268 points. She is also fifth with 124 made three-pointers.
Bonenberger has had a breakout season with 10.1 points and averaged 8.5 rebounds. She currently leads the team in free throws made (83) and total rebounds (221). Campbell has had a memorable season as well, leading the team in blocked shots (24). She has nearly doubled her statistics since last year with 8.5 points per game, on .477 from the field, and 7.1 rebounds a game.
Freshmen
Natalya Lee (Feasterville, Pa./Rancocas Valley Regional) and
Arianna Apostolopoulos (Yonkers, NY/Ursuline) have adjusted quickly to the Golden Bears' pace. Lee currently leads KU in steals (46) and is second in scoring while Apostolopoulos leads the team in assists (88). Both freshmen started all season and have helped KU win seven more games than a year ago.
Lee had a game-high 20 points against Gannon University during her first PSAC appearance. She is among the team leaders with 10.1 ppg , 68 assists, 67 made free throws, and 23 three-point field goals. Apostolopoulos had a game-high 18 points on Feb. 10 against PSAC East Stroudsburg University. Her ability to run the offense has allowed Wood to slide to shooting guard this season. Apostolopoulos has led the team in assists 15 times this season, including nine assists in a win over Washington Adventist early in the season.
The Golden Rams are led by Alex Lennon and Brittany Sicinski. Lennon has started all 26 games and has a team-highs of 11.5 ppg and 8.2 rpg. Sicinski also averages double figures in points at 10.6 ppg. Lennon poured in 18 in the game at WCU before the Golden Bears turned up the defense in the rematch, limiting her to just five points.
The winner of the KU/West Chester game will face top-seeded Bloomsburg on March 5 in the PSAC Quarterfinals.
