ERIE, Pa. – Seventh-ranked Kutztown won the evening's final three bouts for a come-from-behind win over Gannon on the road in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference match, 21-13.

The Golden Bears trailed 13-11 heading into the bout at 184, but
Giovanni Ortiz (Reading, PA/Reading) slid past Keith Stoerr 4-3 to put KU ahead 14-13.
Vinny Campanile (Stanhope, NJ/Lenape Valley) followed with a dominating win at 197, shutting out Christopher Boyd 7-0 to extend the lead to four. Campanile entered the night rated eighth in Division II national rankings at 197, while Boyd was rated fourth in Super Region I.
Kutztown's
Ziad Haddad (Orefield, Pa./Bethlehem Catholic (North Carolina)) finished the Golden Knights, scoring an 11-1 major decision over Charles Lear in the night's final bout.
The dual was a back and forth battle. GU jumped ahead 7-0 after the first two bouts, but the Golden Bears rebounded for an 8-7 lead.
Evan Yenolevich (New Tripoli, PA/Northwestern Lehigh (Edinboro)) downed Adam Weinell at 141, 10-4, to get KU on the scoreboard.
Mitch Voelker (Shoemakersville, PA/Schuylkill Valley) followed with a technical fall at 149 to give Kutztown its first lead of the evening, defeating Michael Krysiak 15-0 (4:59).
The Golden Bears found themselves trailing 10-8 heading into the bout at 165, but
Ricky Pena (Reading, PA/Reading) continued to wrestle strong for KU, notching a 10-3 decision to reclaim the lead.
After Gannon won the bout at 174 to go back ahead, Ortiz, Campanile and Haddad turned the tide back in favor of Kutztown for the 21-13 victory.
The win was KU's fourth in its last five tries and improved the Golden Bears to 6-3 in dual matches on the year. Gannon fell to 1-2.
Kutztown will look to keep rolling with a match at Mercyhurst on Saturday, September 19 at 1 p.m.
