No. 20 Kutztown Takes Down No. 6 Grand Canyon

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. – No. 20 Kutztown clinched a place in the NWCA/Cliff Keen Duals after knocking off No. 6 Grand Canyon 26-19.
 
Bout-by-Bout Results 
 
Vinny Campanile (Stanhope, NJ/Lenape Valley) clinched the win with a win by fall at 197 in 3:54 against Eric Fan. 
 
KU took an early 6-3 when Brandon Davis (Allentown, Pa./Parkland) pinned Lino Estrada at 7:00, starting a run of three straight bout wins by Kutztown.  Evan Yenolevich (New Tripoli, PA/Northwestern Lehigh (Edinboro)) accepted a forfeit at 141 and Jackson Stabile (Lenhartsville, Pa./Hamburg) shut out Austen Moore at 149 to score a technical fall at 149, making it 17-3. 
 
Wade Rivera (Orefield, PA/Parkland) helped the Golden Bears hold off Grand Canyon with a 5-3 sudden victory decision at 174 over Justin Martin. 
 
Kutztown will wrestle Newberry at 9 a.m. on Sunday, January 12 with the winner advancing to the fifth place match.  The loser will wrestle for seventh place.  Both the fifth and seventh place matches will be contested at 1 p.m.
