Dineen named second team All-American by D2proday.com

KUTZTOWN, PA (August 26, 2010) -- Kutztown University senior kick Matt Dineen (Wilmington, De/Concord) was named as a D2proday.com second team preseason All-American.

“It's an honor to receive this recognition, but it's all about the team,” Dineen said. “Without the offensive line, the snapper and holder, I wouldn't be able to do my job effectively. So this honor is a tribute to the team. Our goals as a team is win the conference.”

Dineen was selected to the all-PSAC East Division first team following a strong season in which he made 17 of 20 field goals to lead the conference. Dineen established the KU single-season record for field goals made in a season with 17. He shattered the school career-record with 35 field goals over the past three seasons. Dineen also set a school record by kicking five field goals in a victory over Cheyney. Dineen was fourth in the PSAC in punting average (38.7) and fourth in scoring (6.5 points per game).
