KU stormed out of the gate with a 38-13 lead heading into halftime. The 13 points were the least allowed by the Golden Bear defense in a half.

The Golden Bears (15-6, 6-2 PSAC East) put the contest away with the solid first half where they made five 3's. The defense held the Mountaineers to 0-for-10 from beyond the arc and did not allow a field goal in the final 7 minutes, 42 seconds of the first half. Overall, the Mountaineers shot 25.8 percent from the floor, compared to the Golden Bears 40.9 percent.

All of the Golden Bears got involved on the offensive end as 10 different players scored, including three in double figures.

Melissa McQuade, the PSAC East Player of the Week, had a team high 13 points with four rebounds and three assists.

Rachel Wisemiller netted 11 points and had a game-high five blocks. Freshman Ashley Wood chipped in with 11 points off the bench.

Chauntelle Schroeder, Meredith Starr and Steph Zewe all added eight points, with Schroeder pulling down seven boards. The eight points were a season-best for Zewe and her six rebounds were one shy from tying her high set against East Stroudsburg.

Kristen Murray
chipped in with seven points, while Vivian Melvin (Chichester, PA/Chichester)'s eight rebounds and four assists were team-high's. Freshman Jackie Burg added a layup late in the second half to tally her first points of the season.

Mallory Moore led Mansfield with 21 points, three steals and three rebounds.

In their last match up at Mansfield on January 20, the Golden Bears prevailed with 15 straight points in double overtime for an 86-73 victory.

The Golden Bears will look to emulate this success on Saturday's showdown against No. 25 ranked Millersville, who leads the division by one game over KU. The contest will begin at 1 p.m. in Keystone Arena.
