SPRINGFIELD, Ma. (December 11, 2010) – The Kutztown University wrestling team enjoyed a strong afternoon by winning two of three matches at the American International College dual meet Saturday afternoon. FULL STORY AND RESULTS TO BE POSTED LATER

 

Kutztown defeated Bridgewater State College, 24-15, and Roger Williams College, 24-15 before dropping a tough 21-15 decision to host AIC. For the Golden Bears (2-3 overall), Justin Grant (Easton, PA/Easton), Anthony Frost (West Reading, PA/Wyomissing), and Tim Darling (Nazareth, PA/Nazareth) enjoyed perfect performances.

 

“I feel good about how we wrestled today,” Kutztown head coach Rob Fisher said. “We're not where we want to be, but we're getting better and I feel good about that. Lots of guys had a good day. I like what we've shown over the last two weeks. We've been sticking together and wrestling with passion and heart. We're still making mistakes, but I will live with them as long as we're wrestling hard.”

 

Kutztown returns to action on New Year's Day when it competes at the Grand Canyon Duals in Phoenix, Arizona.
