Indiana, PA (October 24, 2010) – The Kutztown University field hockey team fell Sunday in a double overtime thriller against Indiana University of Pa. (IUP), 4-3. (BOXSCORE)
KU is fifth in this week's 2010 Kookaburra/National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division II National Coaches Poll.
Kutztown (8-5 overall, 3-2 PSAC East) completed its final game of a three-game road trip Sunday afternoon as it went 2-1 over a four day span.

Kutztown started off the second half aggressive, as it got two goals in the first 17 minutes by Erin Reynolds and senior Abbey Sheeler. IUP (7-6 overall) didn't go away quietly, however, as it managed to string together two more goals in the second half to send the game to overtime.
Neither team was able to score in the first 15 minute overtime, but with under three minutes remaining in the second overtime, IUP's Trish Morris scored off an assist from Jillian Duld. Kutztown goalkeeper Emily Falko had seven saves in her 97 minutes, 52 seconds in goal.
