KU wraps up strong weekend at Regional Duals

NEWBERRY, S.C. (January 23, 2010) - The Kutztown University wrestling team capped off a strong showing at the Regional Duals with a 26-12 win over Limestone College on Saturday afternoon.

"It's an amazing number to be within reach of," said said head coach Rob Fisher who earned his 100th career win earlier in the day. "It gives a sense of accomplishment for all of the coaches, wrestlers and people ever involved in the wrestling program."

After Limestone took the next four decisions to take a 12-10 lead, David Zeek put the momentum back in KU's favor. Zeek's 14-4 major decision gave the Golden Bears the lead for good at 14-12.

The 184 pound Tim Darling did what he does best, win. The sophomore got the three count at three minutes, 43 seconds.

Scott Snyder and Kevin Bolinsky finished off the match with decisions of 10-4 and 6-2, respectively.

"The guys really had an amazing weekend," Fisher,  "They are really coming together at the right time. They are starting to believe in themselves.
