SALEM, W.Va. — Krista Cameron (sr. Formosa, ONTARIO/Sacred Heart) hit a two-run double to lead the Golden Bears to a 4-1 win over Wheeling Jesuit Saturday at the Salem Invitational.
Wheeling Jesuit pitcher Brandi Jester held the Golden Bears (23-6) to just two hits, but the Golden Bears still managed four runs.
Cameron's two-RBI double in the fifth fueled a three-run inning. Two errors helped KU plate two more runs.
Mary Hoch (so. Somerton/St. Hubert) started for KU, pitching 4 2/3 innings, earning the no-decision. Monica Glomb (so. Mars/Mars) pitched 2 1/3 innings of relief, picking up the win for KU.
