PHILADELPHIA — Steph Denlinger (sr. Harleysville/Souderton) hit two home runs as the Kutztown University softball swept a doubleheader at the University of the Sciences Wednesday.
KU (20-5) has now won 10 games in a row and 17 of its last 18 games with non-conference wins of 8-0 and 9-2.
Monica Glomb (so. Mars/Mars) and Mary Hoch (so. Somerton/St. Hubert) each improved their season records to 5-1 with wins over the University of the Sciences (4-12).
Denlinger now has 10 home runs on the season and 66 in her career, already an NCAA Division II record.
KU will return to action with five games at the Salem (Va.) Invitational this weekend. The Golden Bears will open the invitational with a game against Alderson-Broaddus at 3 p.m. Friday, followed by a matchup against West Virginia State at 7
