Kori Meshaw started the outdoor track and field season on a great note for Kutztown University by winning the 400-meter hurdles and earning a NCAA Division II provisional qualifying time at the Dr. Jack Toms Invitational hosted by Lynchburg College Saturday.

Meshaw, who participated in the 2010 NCAA Division II Outdoor National Championships, is off to good start for the Golden Bears. In winning the 400-meter hurdles, Meshaw posted a time of 53.76 seconds. Meshaw also ran on the winning 4 x 400-meter relay team that featured Geoff Mock, Craig Sherwood, and Percell Berry. The quartet completed the race in 3:18.45.
