Brandon Martinez helped lead the Golden Bears to five PSAC East victories last week. He led the team in batting average, runs, hits, slugging percentage, on-base percentage, and stolen bases. He was second in RBI. He held a perfect fielding percentage with 15 put-outs and no errors. He went a perfect 8-for-8 on stolen base attempts, including four in Saturday's doubleheader against Lock Haven. He brought his season stolen-base total to 30, tying the Kutztown single-season record set in 1983. The PSAC single-season record is 45. As a junior, Martinez has 52 in his career, fourth in KU history. Martinez leads the team this season in batting average, runs, hits, triples, slugging percentage, and has gone 30-for-31 on stolen base attempts.
