Kutztown University Athletics

A season-long goal and a lifelong dream came true on Saturday night as Kutztown University's Ziad Haddad (Orefield, PA/Bethlehem Catholic (North Carolina)) can now call himself a National Champion after he won the NCAA Division II National Heavyweight Championship at the Cleveland Public Auditorium.
 
Haddad went a perfect 25-0 this season and is just the second KU wrestler in school history to finish the season undefeated. He has been the top-ranked heavyweight in Division II for the entire season and capped his season with a 5-4 decision over fourth-ranked Jacob Mitchell of California Baptist, who also entered the match undefeated.
