Senior Evan Yenolevich dominated the Super Region 1 tournament this weekend with a 4-0 performance with two pins and two major decisions. He punched his ticket to nationals by pinning Kody Young of Mercyhurst in 4:22 in the semifinals, and saved one of his best performances for last. In the championship match, Yenolevich controlled the fourth-ranked wrestler in Division II in Notre Dame's, Marty Carlson with a 9-0 major decision. A regional champ in 2012 in his first year in the Maroon and Gold, Yenolevich is just the second two-time regional champion in school history (Pat Mathuse 1994-95).

Yenolevich was also named the Most Outstanding Wrestler of the regional tournament. As a team, Kutztown finished fourth of 12 teams in the region, the fifth straight year KU has finished in the top five.
