Kutztown University junior infielder Colleen Smith was named the first PSAC East Player of the Week for the 2013 season after her performance in five early season contests. 
 
The junior hit .429 with a double, a home run and five RBIs.  For the year, she leads the team in average, home runs and RBIs and has fanned just once in 14 at bats.  She turned in a three RBI guy in a win over Fayetteville State.
 
All games for prior to March 4, 2013 of this season were considered for this week's award.
 
The Golden Bears hit the road for a doubleheader at Goldey-Beacom on March 6 before heading south for the Salem (W.Va.) Invitational on March 15-17 and the National Training Center Spring Games in Clermont, Florida on March 19-22.
