Will Bowen joined Kutztown University as its assistant strength and conditioning coach in February 2026.

Bowen will assist with the design and implementation of year-round strength and conditioning programs for Kutztown’s varsity student-athletes, with an emphasis on performance development, injury risk reduction, and long-term athletic preparation.

Prior to Kutztown, Bowen gained collegiate strength and conditioning experience through internships at Kutztown University and Lehigh University, where he coached student-athletes during resistance training, speed, and plyometric sessions. His responsibilities included correcting technique, leading group training sessions, preparing weight room facilities, and assisting with program delivery under certified strength coaches.

Bowen has also worked with youth and high school athletes as a volunteer strength and conditioning coach for Lower Dauphin Boys’ Basketball, where he designed and coached foundational resistance training programs. Additionally, he served as a graduate assistant with PennWest Edinboro athletics, supporting operations and event management.

A former collegiate athlete, Bowen played basketball at DeSales University and football at the University of Delaware, bringing first-hand experience with the demands of high-level training and competition.

Bowen earned his Bachelor of Science in Sport and Exercise Physiology from DeSales and is currently completing his Master of Science in Exercise Science at Edinboro, with a concentration in Sports Performance and Injury Prevention.

He holds the NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and NASM Performance Enhancement Specialist (PES) certifications and is CPR/AED certified.
