Kutztown University Athletics

Riley Yonchiuk enters her first year as a Graduate Assistant for Athletic Communications at Kutztown University for the 2026-27 academic year.

Before joining Kutztown, Yonchiuk spent her undergraduate career at Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference member Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP). She majored in Communications Media with a concentration in News Media, minored in Graphic Design, and gained extensive experience covering multiple sports during her time at IUP.

Yonchiuk covered IUP Women’s Basketball’s run to the NCAA Final Four during the 2025-26 season for IUP’s student newspaper, The Penn. She also covered both the men’s and women’s basketball teams as an analyst for IUP-TV Sports throughout the 2025-26 season.

During the 2025 football season, Yonchiuk covered IUP Football and followed the Crimson Hawks on their journey to the PSAC Championship, which was hosted at Kutztown.

Yonchiuk also was part of the first all-female broadcast team at IUP, providing color commentary during the 2024 football season.

In addition to her work in sports media, Yonchiuk was heavily involved with WIUP-FM, serving as the station’s program director and a show host. She also represented IUP as the College Broadcasters, Inc. student representative, connecting students with a nationwide organization dedicated to supporting and advancing student radio and media.
