Pat Taylor enters his ninth season on Jim Clements' staff with the Kutztown University football team in 2024. Taylor coaches the offensive line and is the program's recruiting coordinator.
Taylor took over the KU offensive line in 2017. His unit helped push KU to the fourth-best season in school history in total offense – 439.9 yards per game. KU scored 60 points twice in a season for the first time in school history, and ranked third in the PSAC at 37.5 points per game.
Taylor has guided 10 All-PSAC selections, including three First Teamers in 2018. He also had two lineman earn D2CCA All-Atlantic Region in 2021. That year, KU's rushing attack finished second in the PSAC with 189.8 yards per game.
Taylor came to Kutztown after six seasons at Lycoming College, his alma mater, from 2011-16. He coached eight all-conference selections in his three years of coaching the offensive line (2014-16), and was also the run game coordinator for his final two seasons.
Before transitioning to the offensive line, Taylor spent three years as the coach of the team's running backs. In that time, he coached at least one running back to all-conference honors in each of his three years, while also coaching two Academic All-District picks and one all-region back. Most notably, Taylor guided Lycoming's Craig Needhammer to become the program's all-time leader in rushing yards, rushing touchdowns, all-purpose yards and total touchdowns.
A 2009 graduate of Lycoming College and a two-time Second Team All-MAC selection as an offensive lineman, Taylor helped lead the Warriors to the 2008 MAC title while serving as a team captain.
Along the way, Taylor helped the team's all-time leading rusher rack up more than 1,100 yards during the 2008 campaign, along with a second team all-conference quarterback.
A native Philadelphian, Taylor currently resides in Barnesville, Pa.
