David Roe

David Roe joined the Kutztown University Sports Information staff as a graduate assistant in August 2024.

Before arriving in Kutztown, Roe spent a year serving as the women's bowling graduate assistant at Saint Francis University, where he managed communications and served as the team's graduate assistant during the 2023-24 season. While with the Red Flash, the bowling team's social media platforms saw an increase of more than double the followers and triple the interactions as the program reached the 2024 Northeast Conference Championships. Roe improved coverage and expanded historical databases for the nationally recognized program.

Roe completed his undergraduate studies at West Virginia University, earning a bachelor of science in journalism with a concentration in sports media. During his two years in Morgantown, Roe contributed to sports talk shows on U92 campus radio, contributed to The Daily Athenaeum student newspaper as a wrestling, golf, and track and field beat writer, and worked as a camera operator and utility for ESPN+ through their relationship with the Big 12 Conference. Roe spent his second year with the Mountaineers working in the Athletics Communications office, where he assisted in covering the nationally ranked Mountaineer wrestling team and aided the publicity efforts of all 18 Mountaineer sports programs. His senior capstone project saw him produce the college Emmy Award-winning show Mountaineer Playbook, which covered all Mountaineer athletic events.

The Lincoln, Calif., native came to the East Coast in 2019, where he attended Columbia International University in Columbia, S.C. While with the Rams, Roe was a part of the cross country team and threw the javelin on the track and field team. He assisted in the Rams' athletic operations and publicity efforts while the department operated events at a near-normal capacity during and after the COVID-19 pandemic. He graduated from CIU with an associate's degree in Biblical Studies in the spring of 2021.

In past summers, Roe has held roles in the ticketing and merchandising offices of the Columbia Fireflies (Low-A, Kansas City Royals) and West Virginia Black Bears (MLB Draft League) baseball teams.
