2015-16: The team captain had an extraordinary and unforgettable redshirt-senior season as a Golden Bear. Martoccio was ranked second in Division II at 157 pounds to start the season. He placed second at the PSAC Championships and earned All-PSAC honors for the second consecutive season. Martoccio went 4-0 at the Super Region 2 Duals and was the Super Region 1 Champion. He had an astonishing 4-0 record with a pin and three wins by decisions to qualify for Nationals. At Nationals, he finished seventh and became an All-American for the second time as a Golden Bear. Martoccio recorded 28 victories this season (sixth in KU history), the most on the team. He wrapped up his career with 89 wins (third) and 13 pins...Finished in sixth place for his second career All-America honor at the NCAA National Championships. He went 2-3 at nationals and competed in the national semifinal at 157. An injury on Day 1 prevented Martoccio from competing at full strength on Day 2 (3/12)...Ranked second in Division II entering National Championships (3/7)...Won the Super Region I championship at 157 pounds. 2014-15: Martoccio had a career-year as a redshirt junior competing at 157 pounds. He earned his first trip to the NCAA National Championships, placing seventh for All-America honors. He placed third at both the PSAC and Super Region 1 Championships. Martoccio ranked second on the team with 28 wins, tying him for sixth in school history. 2013-14: Martoccio recorded a 14-12 overall record at 157 pounds for the Golden Bears during his redshirt-sophomore season. He had two pins and one major decision during the year...Recorded two wins and placed fourth at the Super Region 1 Championships (3/2)...Recorded a pin in 2:48 against East Stroudsburg (2/18)...Earned a 6-5 victory by decision in a win over Shippensburg (2/17)...Recorded a pin in 4:22 in a win over Alderson Broaddus (2/8)...Won a 6-5 decision over Buddy Blotzer of Gannon (1/18)...After dropping out in previous poll, he was ranked sixth in Super Region I rankings (1/14)...Went 3-1 and finished in eighth place at the F&M Open (1/4)...Ranked No. 3 overall at 157 pounds in the NWCA Division II Super Region 1 preseason rankings (10/23).
2012-13: Finished the season with an overall record of 19-10, including five wins by fall and four wins by major decision. He finished in fourth place at the PSAC Championships.
