2016 (Game-by-Game): ???????PSAC Scholar-Athlete (6/29)...Lane started in 28 of his 38 games played for the Golden Bears during his freshman season.  He finished second on the team with a .282 batting average, a .435 slugging percentage and fourth in on-base percentage (.347).  He batted 24-for-85 with three home runs (tied for second on KU), 11 RBIs and 14 runs scored.  In the field, he recorded 22 putouts, three assists and a .926 fielding percentage.  He also made five appearances on the mound (two starts), going 0-2 with a 4.40 ERA.  He struck out 10 batters in 14.1 innings pitched and held opponents to a .244 batting average...Batted 1-for-3 against Millersville (4/29)...Went 3-for-9 with a run scored in a season-series against Shippensburg (4/15-4/16)...NCBWA Atlantic Region and PSAC East Athlete of the Week for his performance during a four-game series against West Chester, highlighted by KU's first three-home run game since 2002. He had seven RBIs and scored four runs in that game (4/4)...Pitched 2.2 scoreless-innings in relief without allowing a hit in a win over East Stroudsburg (3/24)...Combined 4-for-6 with two RBIs and two runs scored in a DH against Lock Haven (3/11)...Pitched five innings, allowing just one earned run in start against Barton (3/9)...Went 1-for-1 with a run scored against Clarion (3/7).
