Murphy Lill hails from Nassau, New York and began his rugby career in 2010. While attending high school, he was a member of the Rensselaer Dragons. After high school he moved onto a very well known and established men's club, the Albany Knickerbockers. He played with them for two years and In 2014, he enrolled in Kutztown University. He was an invited walk-on to the rugby club where he quickly made an impression. Eventually, he earned a roster spot on the Kutztown Sevens Team. He went on to participate in four consecutive Collegiate Rugby 7's Championships (CRC). Where he and his teammates advanced to two semi-finals and two championship finals. During his playing career at Kutztown, he also had a very successful one year tenure, as the captain of our 15's and 7's sides. He graduated in 2017 with a Bachelors degree in Criminal Justice, as well as a Masters Degree in Public Administration, 2019. While in graduate school, he worked as a graduate assistant coach and was instrumental in player development. Murphy brings a wealth of experience, knowledge and energy to the Kutztown staff.
