Jason Evans is in his first year with the Kutztown University men's rugby coaching staff in 2021-22.
Evans played for the Golden Bears from 1996-2000. While at Kutztown, he was an outstanding contributor to the success of the team as a stalwart in the back row.
Evans was selected to the Eastern Pennsylvania Rugby Union Select Side as well as the Mid-Atlantic Rugby Union Select Side. After his playing days at Kutztown, he became a well-known figure on the local Reading Men's Club. Evans helped lead the club to a fourth place finish in the 2001 D-3 National Championship.
Evans continues to contribute as an administrator with the club. He is a certified strength and conditioning coach, as well as having past experience in the field of personal training. He will be a much needed addition in the quest for Kutztown men's rugby's student-athletes to be on the cutting edge of athletic performance and the reduction of athletic injuries.
Evans resides in Reading, Pa., with his wife Adrienne and their daughters, Celia and Noelle.
