Tyler Boudreau completed his first season at KU in 2011 after enjoying a sterling career at Slippery Rock University. He was a two-time All-PSAC West Division selection and named to the Northeast all-Region team. 

Following his senior year at SRU, Boudreau was ranked as the 23rd-ranked defensive end in the nation in Division II by NFLscoutdraft.com. Boudreau was a two-time winner of the Gary Hunt Award, which is given to the most outstanding defensive lineman. Boudreau served as SRU’s interim defensive line coach during the Spring 2009 semester. In that role, Boudreau ran defensive line drills and coached technique. He also worked as an volunteer coach at Trinity High School, his alma mater. 

In high school, Boudreau played in the Big 33/U.S. Army All-Star Classic. He set school records for single-season (21.5) and career (32.5) quarterback sacks. Finished his career as Trinity’s all-time leading tackler and was named team MVP as a senior. Boudreau earned Carlisle Sentinel Defensive MVP honors as a senior and received Patriot-News Mid Penn All-Star honors in both junior and senior seasons. Also helped Trinity win Liberty Division and District 3-AA title in 2002. 

He has a Bachelors of Science degree in Environmental Health and Safety from Slippery Rock. During his time as a student at the Rock, Boudreau was recognized by the Institute for Safety and Health Management, a member of the academic honor roll and Deans List.
