Tim Tobin

Tim Tobin finished his sixth year with the Golden Bear staff in 2011. 

He is in charge of the defensive line, strength and conditioning plus kickers. He came to Kutztown from state and nationally ranked McGill Toolen High School in Mobile Alabama where he was the special team’s coordinator and defensive line coach.

Tobin also coached defensive line and kickers at nationally ranked Shippensburg in 1999.

He was named the Deaver Foundation Private School teacher of the year in Florida in 1998.   

He began his coaching career as a student assistant at Arizona State University, where he was the linebackers and kickers coach in 1987. 

He coached defensive backs and was the strength coach at the University of California-Santa Barbara in 1988. 

In addition, Tobin was the head coach overseas in England, guiding the Manchester All stars (1989-90).  Tobin also started punting clinics in Victoria, Australia 1991-2011. 

He is a 1988 graduate of Arizona State University with a degree in physical education. He was a student assistant and worked with linebackers and the long snappers at nationally ranked and Freedom bowl winner Arizona State University in 1987. 

Tobin has also been doing strength and conditioning as a coach for more than 11 years.
