Steven Anderson completed his second season on the football staff at Kutztown University in 2018. Anderson serves as the defensive graduate assistant and video coordinator for the Golden Bears, working towards a M.Ed. in student affairs in higher education.

Anderson coached an All-PSAC defensive lineman in his first year at Kutztown in 2017. The KU defense posted its best year in the modern era in rushing defense in 2017, holding opponents to 86.7 yards/game. KU held opponents to 19.5 points per game, the best mark for the program since 1996, and less than 200 passing yards per game for the first time in 10 years.
 
He spent 2016 coaching the defensive line at Saint Vincent College, where he guided one player to All-PAC honors. Anderson recruited Western PA, Eastern PA, New York and Southern New Jersey for the Bearcats.
 
Prior to SVC, Anderson coached at Mansfield University in 2015. He was responsible for the defensive line, mentoring two All-CSFL defensive linemen. Anderson was in charge of all social media efforts for the Mountaineers and was later promoted to assistant defensive coordinator.
 
Anderson graduated from Temple University in 2015 with a B.S. in sport and recreation management. In the spring of 2015, Anderson served as senior recruiting intern and part-time student assistant for the Owls’ football program.
 
Anderson began his coaching career at South Philadelphia’s Neumann-Goretti High School. He was a member of the varsity coaching staff from 2011-2014. He was responsible for the defensive line, producing six All-Catholic selections. Neumann-Goretti won the AA Philadelphia Catholic League and the PIAA AA District 12 championships in 2014.
