Dennis Iezzi completed his fourth full year with the Golden Bear program in 2011.

Iezzi, who coaches the defensive backs, joined the staff in the spring of 2007. Iezzi brought 29 years of coaching experience to KU. In 21 seasons as a head coach, he tallied a record of 150-83-3. Prior to KU, he spent five years as head coach at Exeter High School. Previously, he served as head coach at Middletown for 14 seasons and Bermudian Springs for two years. Prior to becoming a head coach, he was an assistant coach at Donegal High School for eight seasons. While at Middletown, Iezzi led his team to a pair of District III-AAA titles and a PIAA playoff appearance in 1988. He was named coach of the year five times and served on Pennsylvania’s coaching staff of the 1989 Big 33 game. Iezzi has been inducted into the Daniel Boone High School Wall of Fame (1987), the Capital Area Sports Hall of Fame (1989) and the Berks County Football Coaches Hall of Fame (2007). Iezzi was a three-sport standout at Daniel Boone and went on to be a four-year letterwinner at Albright College. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Albright, a master’s from Millersville University and a principal certification from Temple University.
