Andy Casale completed his second season with the Kutztown football coaching staff in 2013. It was his first season working with the defensive line after coaching the linebackers in 2012.

Along with coaching the defensive line, Casale is responsible for recruiting incoming freshmen, video editing for games and practice, and holds game planning and scouting report duties.

Prior to Kutztown, Casale worked as the linebackers coach at Dickinson College. He also helped produce recruiting materials for Dickinson football.

He was a four-year player at Shippensburg University from 2006-09. He was the team captain in his senior year and helped guide the Red Raiders to a PSAC Championship and an appearance in the NCAA playoffs. He led the team with 65 tackles including 11 tackles for loss with 2.5 sacks and two fumble recoveries.

He was a three-year starter at linebacker and earned All-PSAC West honors in his sophomore season in 2007. A four-time PSAC Scholar Athlete, Casale was named to the ESPN The Magazine All-Academic First Team, was a participant at the NCAA Leadership Conference, and is a member of the National Football Foundation & College Hall of Fame Honor Society.

After his time at Shippensburg, Casale returned to his alma-mater of Cumberland Valley High School as an assistant coach in charge of the linebackers and running backs for the 2009 season.

Casale graduated from Shippensburg in 2010 with a Bachelor of Science in Education, and is currently pursuing his master's degree in secondary education at Kutztown.
