Jennifer DeWire is in her first season as the cheer team advisor at Kutztown University in 2024-25.
DeWire comes to Kutztown from the New Jersey high school ranks having served as head coach at Voorhees High School from 2010-19 and most recently at Delaware Valley Regional High School for the past five years.

Under DeWire’s leadership, Del Val was a state and national cheerleading power, capturing four consecutive NJCDCA game day state championships between 2020-23, a pair of UCA Nationals game day runner-up finishes (2020, 2024) and three additional UCA Nationals game day top five finishes (2021-23).

Del Val also won Hunterdon/Warren/Sussex County traditional titles in 2020, 2021, 2023 and 2024, along with UCA regional championships in the discipline in 2020, 2021 and 2023.

DeWire brings extensive experience in team development, choreography and competition strategy to the Golden Bears. Kutztown has been a regular at UCA Nationals in recent years, placing seventh in the Open All Girl Gameday Division and All Girl Division I competitions in 2023.

While leading Del Val to success in competition, DeWire also effectively managed all external aspects of the program, including fundraising, logistics, camps, community service and mascot management.

DeWire earned an associate’s degree in education (K-12) from Raritan Valley C.C. in 2006 and is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education at New Jersey City University.
