Mitch Pinder completed his first season as an assistant coach with the Golden Bears in 2021 and also served as the baseball program's recruiting coordinator.
Pinder spent four seasons as a student-athlete with the Maroon and Gold from 2017-20, providing the team solid production with both his bat and glove across 45 games. The Gilbertsville, Pa., native batted .303 with 37 hits, nine doubles and 24 RBIs in 122 career at-bats. Unfortunately, Pinder missed the 2019 season due to injury and had his senior year halted after just 11 games due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Pinder made all of his appearances in the infield, a majority of them at second base. He started 38 of his 45 career games and also turned in a .939 career fielding percentage.
Off the field, Pinder excelled in the classroom with three PSAC Scholar-Athlete honors and a matching number of D2 ADA Academic Achievement Awards. He graduated from KU with a degree in communication studies in May, 2020.
