Kutztown University Athletics

Jimmy Kerley, a four-year starter for the Golden Bears from 2022-25, enters his first season as an assistant coach for Kutztown University's baseball team, where he serves as the first base coach on head coach Eric Folmar's staff.

An All-PSAC East Second Team selection, Kerley joins the coaching staff after a standout career in the Maroon and Gold. The Indian Trail, North Carolina native, Kerley was a consistent presence in the Golden Bears lineup, starting every game he appeared in throughout his career and developing into one of the team’s most reliable hitters and leaders.

Kerley’s breakout junior season saw him hit .322 with 55 hits and seven home runs, earning all-conference honors while leading the team in multiple offensive categories. He followed that with a strong senior campaign, showcasing plate discipline and durability by playing in every game for the fourth straight year.

Now on the coaching staff, Kerley brings a player-first perspective and deep understanding of the game, using his experience to help guide the next generation of Golden Bears.
