2010: The versatile senior led the Golden Bears pitching staff with eight wins. He was the winning pitcher in the Golden Bears’ 2-1 12-inning victory over Franklin Pierce in the NCAA Division II National Baseball Championships. That game was fourth-longest non-suspended NCAA game in history. The game took nine hours, 11 minutes to finish. The right hander pitched 43 innings in 21 appearances, striking out 36 batters. Bucklin also played 24 games at first base and designated hitter. Finishing with a .204 batting average, Bucklin had one home run with six RBIs and four runs scored. Bucklin hit his home run at Shaw.


2009: Bucklin posted a 3.41 ERA  in 19 appearances, including two starts. He had a 3-2 record with a team-best six saves. Bucklin struck out 28 batters and issued only 13 walks.

2008: Bucklin went 2-0 while appearing in 12 games and starting in two. He posted a 5.55 ERA in 24 1/3 innings. He struck out 14 and walked 11.

2007: Bucklin appeared in eight games, starting in two, going 1-0 with a 6.05 ERA in 19 1/3 innings. He had 21 strikeouts and 13 walks. At the plate, Bucklin batted .262, starting in 13 games for KU. He had four doubles, seven RBIs and two runs scored.
