Career Statistics


2010: In his junior season, Wigder established career-bests in hits (34) and batting average (.351). Wigder hit his first home run of his collegiate career in the Golden Bears win over Millersville. He played in 34 games at second base or shortstop and committed only two errors for a .979 fielding percentage. Widger delivered a game-winning bloop single in the bottom of the 12th inning with the bases loaded that scored Mike Kacelowicz in Kutztown’s 2-1 victory over Franklin Pierce in the NCAA Division II Baseball Championships in Cary, NC. Widger’s hit concluded what was believed to be the fourth longest non-suspended NCAA game in history: nine hours, 11 minutes. Widger had eight multi-hit games this season.


2009:
Wigder batted .261 and started in 27 of the 36 games he played in at shortstop. He scored 13 runs and drove in 10 RBIs. Wigder had four doubles and drew eight walks.


2008: Wigder batted .286 (26-for-91) starting in 30 games and playing in 35. He had a double, 19 RBIs and 17 runs scored. Wigder was patient at the plate, drawing 19 walks.
