2011:   Persun appeared in 10 games during his senior season with the Golden Bears.  He had 20 strikeouts in his 21.1 innings on the mound.  He was 1-4 and held an ERA of 7.17.  His lone win came in his first start of the season against Barton College on Feb. 5.  He pitched four innings and allowed just three hits with two strikeouts.  Persun closed out his season with three innings of scoreless relief against Bloomsburg.  He tallied five strikeouts in his final two appearances.

2010: The junior transfer finished with a perfect 6-0 record and started 10 games. Persun struck out 34 batters in 48.2 innings pitched. He shut down Indiana, Pa. to send the Golden Bears into the PSAC title game, going six innings with only two runs allowed and three strikeouts. Persun struck out a season-high seven batters over six innings against Bloomsburg. Persun finished with a 3.88 earned run average.
