2010: After transferring from the University of Pittsburgh, Reed established himself as the ace on the mound for the Golden Bears by compiling a 6-4 record with a 2.60 ERA in 72.2 innings of work. Reed’s ERA and batting average against (.164) led the conference and his 71 strikeouts are the seventh most. Reed threw a no-hitter against Bloomsburg in April and had a season-best 10 strikeouts in the Golden Bears win over Indiana (PA) in the conference tournament. Reed threw scoreless innings against West Chester in the NCAA Division II Atlantic Region championship contest. Reed struck out seven or more batters four times.
