2015-16: Had an impressive sophomore season at 141 pounds. He recorded four falls, four wins by major decision and one victory by technical fall. Roper tied for the team-lead with four pins this season. He started off the season by winning all three of his matches at the East Stroudsburg Open. Roper was ranked fourth in Super Region 1 at the beginning of the season and quickly moved up to third after winning all three matches at the Virginia Duals. Roper went 3-0 at the Super Region 2 Duals. He finished the season with 13 victories...Posted a 20-7 major decision against MIllersville (2/10)...Tallied a 3-0 record at the Super Region 2 Duals (1/30)...Recorded a 20-6 victory by major decision over Kristian Vazquez of Minnesota State-Moorhead (1/9)...Had a 3-2 decision over Logan Smith of Liberty (1/9)...Moved up one spot to third in SR1 after a 3-0 weekend at the Virginia Duals (1/15)...Recorded a 17-8 win by major decision over Central Florida's Nicholas Anthony (1/8)...Moved up to fourth in SR1 in the first regular season poll of the year (12/2)...Picked up a victory against UPJ (11/19)...Won all three of his matches at the East Stroudsburg Open (11/15)...Tallied a victory by way of decision over West Liberty (11/1)...Ranked fifth at 141 pounds in Super Region I in the preseason poll (10/29).

2014-15: Roper was an integral part of the KU starting lineup at 133 pounds during his true freshman season. He finished the year with a 16-8 record, including a 9-4 dual record. Roper ranked second on the team with nine pins, along with three major decisions and two technical falls. He placed fourth at the PSAC Championships and fifth at the Super Region 1 Championships, one spot away from qualifying for nationals...Went 3-3 and finished in fifth place at 133 pounds at his first career NCAA Super Region 1 Championships (2/28)...Victory by way of decision against ESU (2/17)...Pinned Ship's Karl Lightner in 6:34 (2/13)...Ranked sixth at 133 pounds in the Super Region I Rankings (2/9)...Secured a match-clinching pin over Aaron Smith in a dual vs. Gannon (1/30)...Victory by pinfall in a win over American International (1/24)...Ranked second at 133 pounds in the Super Region I rankings (1/13)...Won two bouts by bonus victory at the NWCA National Duals (1/9)...Placed fourth at the PSAC Championships as a freshman at 133 pounds. He notched three victories, with his only losses coming at the hands of Andy Schutz of Division I Bloomsburg (12/6)...Ranked sixth in Super Region I for the first time in the 133-pound weight class after starting off the year 3-1 (12/1)…Pinned UPJ's Jim Harrison in 6:17 in a dual meet at Keystone Arena (11/21).
