Madison High School: Oates is a two-time team MVP who led her team to three county championships and three conference championships. She was a two-time all-conference and all-county selection. She also earned Honor Roll and High Honor Roll recognition. Oates played for the Edge Field Hockey Club. From the Coach: "Skyler is an extremely talented forward, whose high school team won three conference championships. We will look to her to help create scoring opportunities with her high-level of play. She is a two-time MVP and a two-time all-conference selection, who knows how to finish on the offensive end."
