2014 (Game-by-Game): Shimo started in a career-high 10 games in his senior season. He was one of Kutztown's top two starters in the postseason and was second on the team in innings pitched (61.1). He held an impressive 7-1 record on the mound with a 3.38 ERA and two complete games. He held a 52/9 K/BB ratio and did not allow a home run on the season. He also posted one shutout (PSAC Championship game) and one save. Threw a complete game shutout in the PSAC Championship Game in a 1-0 win over Millersville. He was named the PSAC Tournament MVP with two wins and 11 scoreless innings in the tournament (5/3)...Pitched the 11th and 12th innings and allowed no runs to earn the win in a 2-1 playoff victory in the First Round of the PSAC Tournament (5/1)...Recorded his first save of the season in a win over East Stroudsburg (4/26)...Earned the win against Lock Haven, striking out five batters in 5.2 innings (4/18)...Recorded the win against Mansfield, striking out six battersand only allowing one earned run in 4.1 innings (4/9)...Earned the complete game victory against Millersville, striking out three batters and only allowing two earned runs in seven innings (4/1)...Earned the win against West Chester, striking out nine batters and allowing no earned runs in six innings of work (3/22)...Recorded two scoreless innings of relief against Winston-Salem State (3/19)...Earned the win against Saint Rose, striking out three batters in six innings of work (3/15)...Pitched 4.2 innings and struck out seven batters in a win over Lock Haven (2/20).

2013 (Game-by-Game): Shimo pitched 43.1 innings, second-most on the team, in his first season with the Golden Bears. He held a 6-2 record and won the most games of anyone on the team. He posted a 2.91 ERA with one complete game and a 25/3 strikeout/walk ratio. Earned the win against East Stroudsburg, striking out two batters and only allowing two earned runs in 4.2 innings of work (4/27)...Recorded the win against Millersville, striking out four batters and only allowing one earned run in 5.0 innings of work (4/14)...Earned the win against Bloomsburg, striking out three batters in 5.2 scoreless innings (4/6)...Recorded the win against Mansfield, striking out five batters in 4.2 innings of work (3/24)...Recorded the win against Barton, striking out one batter in two scoreless innings of relief (3/20)...Threw two scoreless innings of relief and recorded four strikeouts in a win over Apprentice (2/22)…Recorded a scoreless inning of relief against Wingate (2/10).
