2015 (Game-by-Game): Named a PSAC Scholar-Athlete (7/6)…Named to the Capital One Academic All-America Second Team and the Academic All-District 2 First Team...Martinez started in 39 of his 40 games played for the Golden Bears during his senior season. He had a .287 batting average and had a .351 on-base percentage. He batted 39-for-136 with 15 RBI and a team-high 13 stolen bases. He tied for the team lead with 21 runs scored and in total bases with 50. He also led the team in doubles with nine. 2014 (Game-by-Game): Named a PSAC Scholar-Athlete (7/3)...Named a PSAC Spring Top 10 Award winner (6/17)...Became KU baseball's first selection to the Capital One Academic All-America First Team in program history (5/29)...Martinez batted a career-high .392 for fifth in the PSAC. He posted career-highs in runs (45), doubles (11), hits (65), slugging percentage (.506), and on-base percentage (.455). His season was highlighted by breaking KU's 31-year stolen-base record of 30 swiped bags in a season. Martinez was 35-for-36 on stolen base attempts, the highest stolen-base percentage in the PSAC among players with 20 or more. He also held a perfect fielding percentage in a career-high 102 putouts this season. 2013 (Game-by-Game): Martinez was a PSAC East First Team selection, as well as a NCBWA All-Atlantic Region Honorable Mention Team selection in his sophomore season. He led KU with a .363 batting average, placing him fourth in the PSAC. His .425 on-base percentage was fueled by a team-leading 58 hits and 17 walks. The sophomore had a team-leading 17 multi-hit games and held a team-best 12-game hitting streak. He stole 18 bases, tied for sixth in a single-season in Kutztown history. 11 of his 58 hits went for extra bases including a team-high nine doubles. 2012 (Game-by-Game): Martinez made 13 starts and appeared in 27 games during his freshman season. He batted .208 with seven hits, four RBI, eight runs scored and three stolen bases. His best perfomance of the season was against Apprentice when he batted 2-for-3 with a RBI and two runs scored.
