Career Statistics
Career Highlights: A four year member of the Golden Bears, Smith finished with 1,551 digs in her career, good for third place in KU history.
2011 Highlights: Smith was one of KU’s more vocal leaders in her 30 matches during her senior season. She led KU with 631 digs and was second in the PSAC, averaging 5.40 per set. She led KU with 27 service aces and added 15 assists. She finished with 20 or more digs 17 times including a pair of 32-dig performances against The College of Saint Rose (Sept. 2) and Mercyhurst (Oct. 8). KU finished with 24 wins in 2011, the most since it won a school-record 28 in 2007. Its 13 PSAC East victories are a school-record.
Honors: PSAC East Defensive Athlete of the Year; All-PSAC East first team
2010 Highlights: Smith was second on the team in digs (265) and service aces (36). She recorded two kills, six assists, and one block. She had 10 games where she reached double digit digs (Philadelphia Univ. Sept.7, PSU-Berks, Sept.20, Millersville Oct.1, Shippensburg Oct.2, Indiana Oct.8, Clarion Oct.8, California Oct.9, Slippery Rock Oct.9, Alderson-Broaddus Oct.30, and ESU Nov.5). Her best efforts were 26 digs against Alderson-Broaddus on Oct.30. Kutztown finished the season with 21 wins and ranked ninth in the NCAA Atlantic Region. KU also advanced to the PSAC semifinals.
2009 Highlights:
Smith competed in 80 sets for the Golden Bears in her sophomore season. Her 44 service aces ranked second and 231 digs were third for KU. Smith also recorded six kills.
