2011 Highlights: Hess was one of the many leaders for the Golden Bears in her senior season. She led KU with 255 kills in her 31 matches and averaged 2.18 per set. She added 84 total blocks on the front line along with 28 digs and 24 assists. She had a pair of 16-kill performances against The College of Saint Rose (Sept. 2) and Shippensburg (Sept. 24). She had double-digit kills in eight matches. Hess had a season-best six blocks against California (Pa.) on Sept. 17. KU finished with 24 wins in 2011, the most since it won a school-record 28 in 2007. Its 13 PSAC East victories are a school-record.
2010 Highlights: Hess was second on the team in kills (229) and was fourth in blocks (73). She helped KU lead the PSAC in blocks averaging 2.39/set. Her top performance was 14 kills against Philadelphia on Sept. 7. She recorded 17 assists and 24 digs. She had eight games where she recorded double digit kills (Le Moyne Sept. 3, CW Post Sept. 4, Philadelphia Sept.7, Mercyhurst Sept.17, PSU-Berks Sept.20, Millersville Oct.1, Alderson-Broaddus Oct.30, and ESU Nov.5). Kutztown finished the season with 21 wins and ranked ninth in the NCAA Atlantic Region. KU also advanced to the PSAC semifinals.
