EASTON, Pa. -- Brooke Graham (Carlisle, Pa./Boiling Springs) tied for the low round with a 6-over par 78 and Kutztown University captured the Albright Northampton Cup in its 2026-27 season debut and Glen McCartney's head coaching debut, Tuesday.

The Maroon and Gold cruised to the team title by 46 shots over Moravian, placing all five players in the top nine of a 33-player field.

Graham, who entered her senior season with the program's best career scoring average (79.86), registered three birdies and seven pars during her round. She knocked in back-to-back birdie putts on the 450-yard, par 5 11th and 345-yard, par 4 12th. Graham also sank a birdie at No. 4, a par 3 playing at 135 yards. The Carlisle, Pa., native matched Moravian's Heidi Wegscheider for the top spot on the leaderboard, but Wegscheider prevailed for medalist honors on the second playoff hole at No. 11.

Freshman Abby McCaffrey (Leesport, Pa./Schuylkill Valley) made a strong impression in her first collegiate tournament by carding a 79 (+7) on the par 72, 5,511-yard course at the Northampton Country Club to take third place overall. The Schuylkill Valley grad racked up a team-high 11 pars, including four in a row between holes 11-14 and 6-of-7 holes between 11-17. She shot 4-over 40 going out and 3-over 39 coming in.

Livia Andov (Pekanbaru, Indonesia/) joined Graham in birdieing No. 4 and added five pars for an 84 (+12) to finish seventh. Freshman Madison Gibson (Cinnaminson, N.J./Cinnaminson) collected her first career collegiate birdie at the 412-yard, par 5 seventh and recorded seven pars for another impressive debut performance of 86 (+14) to take eighth.

Sophomore Eva Moawad (Harrisburg, Pa./Central Dauphin) wrapped up great start to the season for KU with a round of 88 (+16) that included six pars.

Kutztown shot 327 (+39) as a team, well ahead of the runner-up Greyhounds at 373 (+85). Alvernia took third at 385 (+97).

McCartney picked up his first tournament title as head coach after taking over for Robert Fisher following the 2025-26 season. McCartney had served as an assistant coach under Fisher at KU for the previous nine seasons.

The Golden Bears will be back in action next Tuesday, Sept. 8, when they travel to the Hershey Country Club East Course for the Elizabethtown Fall Invitational.
