KUTZTOWN, Pa. – Freshman outside hitter Madilyn Bogovic (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Cedar Cliff) had a breakout week in leading Kutztown to a 2-1 record in three matches, both victories coming in straight sets.
 
In the 3-0 win over Georgian Court last Thursday, Bogovic led the attack with 15 kills and added two digs and a service ace. In the 3-0 win against Lincoln on Saturday, Bogovic tallied seven kills, two aces and led the defense with eight digs. In the match with Goldey-Beacom on Saturday, Bogovic posted a season-best 25 digs to pace the offense and also had 15 digs for a double-double.
 
Bogovic has stepped up in her first collegiate season and is one of the top offensive producers on the team. She ranks 12th in the PSAC in kills (137) and kills per set (3.11). Bogovic also has 25 service aces, seven blocks for 166 points, 3.77 a set, 10th-best in the conference.
 
Kutztown has one more non-conference match at Jefferson Tuesday, Sept. 30, and then opens up PSAC play this weekend, hosting West Chester this Friday at 6 p.m., and then Millersville on Saturday at 4 p.m.
