NEW CASTLE, Del. -- In its final tournament of the regular season, Kutztown University women's bowling won a pair of matches, Sunday, on its way to a sixth-place team finish at the Northeast Roundup hosted by Wilmington (Del.) at Bowlerama.

The Maroon and Gold got Baker play started on the right foot with Megan Hanaway (Forked River, N.J./Lacey Township), Miranda Pielhau (Waretown, N.J./Southern Regional), Shelby Wunch (Easton, Md./Easton), Kamryn Brenneman (York, Pa./Central York) and Chloe Sromovski (Wilkes-Barre, Pa./G.A.R. Memorial) lifting the Golden Bears (55-42) to a 942-869 victory over Dominican (N.Y.).

That same group would comprise head coach Angela Reynolds' lineup for the remaining three qualifying matches. Kutztown fell to Niagara 1098-934 and Caldwell 1030-936 before exacting some revenge against Niagara with a 1010-888 victory in its last match before placement matches. The Bears eclipsed 200 pins in their last three games against Niagara with a 235, 204 and 213.

KU faced off with East Coast Conference foe Molloy in a best-of-seven Baker match for fifth place. Sydney Snyder (Morrisville, Pa./Conwell-Egan Catholic) joined Pielhau, Sromovski, Brenneman and Wunch in the lineup. Molloy was strong throughout with four 200+ games to take the series 4-1. Kutztown's win came in game three, a 181-143 decision.

Felician defeated Niagara to win the tournament and Bryant topped Caldwell for third place. Bryant and Molloy will be among nine teams traveling to Berks Lanes next weekend for the 2025 ECC Championship hosted by Kutztown.
