KUTZTOWN, Pa. – Kutztown men's basketball recognized one of the program's all-time great players in his final game Saturday afternoon as KU lost its season finale to West Chester, 85-68, in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Eastern Division game at Keystone Arena.
Bryant was honored pregame for his illustrious four-year career, which ended with him scoring 1,371 career points, 10th-most in program history. His 87.1% from the free-throw line ranks fourth at KU. He finished Saturday with 12 points, two rebounds and two steals.
The Golden Bears finished the season 8-20 overall and 4-17 in the conference.
The Golden Rams (23-5, 19-3), who are the East Division's top seed, never trailed. They took control of the game late in the first half when they extended a 31-25 lead with 4:43 left in the half and finished on a 15-3 run to go into the locker room at halftime on top 48-26.
Kutztown rallied and went on a run of its own in the middle of the second half as it pulled back to within just six (60-54) with 11:11 to play. But WCU scored eight of the next 11 to go back up by double figures and kept that double digit advantage the rest of the way.
Amir Cunningham (Middletown, Del./Middletown) finished with 20 points and eight rebounds for his second 20-point game in-a-row. Both
Josh McKoy (Reading, Pa./Berks Catholic) and
Tyler Koenig (Waldwick, N.J./Pioneer Academy) tallied 10 points with the former adding two blocks and two steals and the latter grabbing two rebounds.
Juju Pagan (Tobyhanna, Pa./Pocono Mountain West) recorded six points, three assists, two rebounds and two steals and
Jaiden McGhee (Townsend, Del./Middletown) also had six points, while adding three boards. Both
Kameron Roberts (Townsend, Del./Middletown) and
Yahmir Satterfield (Philadelphia, Pa./Imhotep Charter) contributed two points.
Kutztown is set to bring back a majority of its roster, including several underclassmen for 2025-26.
