KU sweeps Millersville in final road match of the season

KUTZTOWN, Pa. – For the second time this season, Kutztown women's volleyball swept Millersville in straight sets Saturday afternoon in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Eastern Division matchup on the road.

The Golden Bears (13-13 overall, 5-7 PSAC East), who also beat the Marauders (6-20, 1-11) 3-0 at home back on Oct. 4, won Saturday by scores of 25-18, 25-23, 25-18. It was the final road match of the 2025 season for KU, which got its record back to .500 and got back on track after a road loss at West Chester Friday night.

Paige Skinner (Placerville, Calif./Ponderosa) led the way for the Maroon and Gold, finishing with a double-double, with a team-best 12 kills and 10 digs. Emma Baldridge (Damascus, Md./Damascus) also recorded a double-double with 33 assists and 13 digs. Madilyn Bogovic (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Cedar Cliff) tallied eight kills and 10 digs. Grace White (Pennsburg, Pa./Quakertown) notched nine kills and Alex Haskins (State College, Pa./State College) added six kills and three blocks. Saige Thibodeaux (Cape Coral, Fla./Ida S. Baker) and Mallory Hoch (Zionsville, Pa./Southern Lehigh) combined for 12 digs and four assists.

Kutztown, as a team, finished with 44 kills and a .194 hit percentage in the three sets, while also holding Millersville to just 26 kills and a .086 hit percentage, including a low of -.024 in the opening set.

The 13 victories is tied for the most in a season since 2022, and its been since 2014 that any Golden Bears team has had more than 13.

Kutztown concludes its 2025 season next weekend at home with two PSAC East matches on back-to-back days. KU hosts Shepherd on Friday, Nov. 14, at 6 p.m., and then welcomes Shippensburg to town on Saturday at 4 p.m., for senior day. Hoch, Tessa Van Dam (Little Falls, N.J./Passaic Valley) and Emma Stalsitz (Allentown, Pa./Parkland) will be recognized pre-match.
