KUTZTOWN, Pa. – Julia Kopcho (Pemberton, N.J./Camden Catholic) improved upon her top-10 time in the 500 Free, leading a group of seven Kutztown women's swimmers earning Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference qualifying times Saturday evening in a tri-meet against PSAC foes Bloomsburg and Edinboro.
 
Joining Kopcho for the Golden Bears netting cut times was Sara Bing (Newtown, Pa./Council Rock North), Ana Soto (Hamburg, N.J./Vernon Township), Frannie Pease-Wingenter (Goodyear, Ariz./Millennium), Phoebe Armes (Somerset, UK/Millfield School), Sarah Zeminski (West Chester, Pa./West Chester East) and Tatum Rothermel (Halifax, Pa./Halifax). Kopcho, Armes, Soto and Pease-Wingenter all had two PSAC marks.
 
Kopcho won the 500 Free at 5:12.35, upping her previous PR of 5:13.65, which he swam last weekend at East Stroudsburg. She also earned a PSAC mark in the 200 IM. Armes had cut times in the 200 IM and 100 Back, Soto in the 50 and 100 Free and Pease-Wingenter in the 50 and 100 Free. Annamarie Rodier (Mount Laurel, N.J./Lenape) won the 1000 Free at 11:11.35.
 
Kutztown takes on another PSAC foe next Saturday, Nov. 8, when it travels to Millersville for a 1 p.m., meet.
